Below is my quick & easy recipe for making a pitcher of a delectable, sweet, and tangy drink with a little boost of cannabis excellence. This beverage will definitely tantalize your taste buds while refreshing your body and mind!
INGREDIENTS
- ● 6-8 lemons
- ● Cannabis
- ● 3 cups sugar
- ● 1.5 teaspoon MCT coconut oil
- ● 1 tablespoon vegetable glycerin
- ● Approximately 5 cups waterMakes approximately 1 pitcher of cannabis-infused lemonade
DIRECTIONS
1. Make a simple syrup
– Bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil on high heat
– Reduce heat to medium and add 1.5 cups of sugar
– When the sugar fully dissolves, remove the pot from heat and pour the simple syrup into a pitcher2. Make lemon juice
– Cut the lemons in half and use a lemon squeezer to extract the juice
– To make sure there are no seeds or pulp, use a mesh strainer to strain the lemon juice into the pitcher
3. Decarb the cannabis
– Weigh the cannabis to your potency preference
– Use your grinder to completely grind up the cannabis
– Place the cannabis into a mason jar with a lid and decarb it in the oven at 240° for approximately 40-50 minutes
4. Make Cannabis simple syrup
– Bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil on high heat
– Add 1.5 cups of sugar, reduce heat to medium and allow sugar to fully dissolve
– Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable glycerin and reduce the temperature to heat to low
– Pour in 1.5 teaspoons of MCT coconut oil
– Sprinkle the decarbed cannabis into the pot
– Stir and let the mixture simmer on low for 1-2 hours (I recommend 2 hours to achieve the best results)
Last steps
– Using a cheesecloth, filter out the cannabis, and add the simple syrup into the pitcher – Add in approximately 2 cups of water and mix it all together
– Add some additional lemons slices to your taste preference
– Place the pitcher in the fridge to cool for a couple of hours
– Serve in a glass with a lemon wedge and sprig of fresh mint as a garnish
